The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I was recruited on campus by Douglas Aircraft in 1962. Moved to Long Beach, Ca with my family and had a 37 year career in aerospace in the loads and dynamics area working on structural design and flight testing of numerous jet transports including the DC9, DC10 and the MD11. Along the way I obtained an MS degree in Engineering from Cal State Long Beach and became a Designated Engineering Representative (DER) for the Federal Aeronautics Administration. Retired in 1999 and moved to Lakehills, Tx outside of San Antonio in the Texas Hill Country. This area reminds me of the scenery around my home town of Towanda, Pa with its hills and trees, but no snow! However, the most important event since graduation from PSU occurred in 1982 when I became a Christian and accepted Christ as my Savior. Hence the photo of my wife and I taken at Western Heritage Cowboy Church which we attend and where I lead Bible studies. Outside of church and family, I have two main interests: Designing and building flying model airplanes and collecting data about a personal experience I had during high school. You can see both at my websites as follows: Go to http://home.earthlink.net/~charlesfelton to see my airplane designs. Go to http://home.earthlink.net/~pwfelton to see my Cresson Sanatorium site.
